Welcome to our third issue of MDG in Motion. Our intent is to provide you our readers with practical, useful information that can be used to address timely issues facing you in your professional careers.
As you know, Maintenance Design Group is a specialty consulting firm that assists owners, architects, engineers, and other professionals with the planning and design of transit, public works, utility, school, and governmental operations and maintenance facilities. The firm, established in May 1995, is recognized as one of the leading firms in the United States in the planning and design of maintenance facilities. MDG has built a reputation for outstanding customer-focused facility designs.
Recently we celebrated our 5th year anniversary, and with that come several exciting announcements. Since 1995, we have grown from one to 15 full time and contract employees in three locations, including Denver, Colorado; Houston, Texas; and San Jose, California.
In addition, MDG has led and participated in more than 250 projects across the nation serving transit, municipal and private sector clients. We look forward to many more years of success and growth.
In this issue of MDG in Motion, we explore the benefits of team member interaction during the preliminary stages of the design process. We discuss the money saving advantages of a comprehensive facility maintenance plan. We have included valuable insight from several industry leaders who have first hand knowledge of these topics.
