| Synopsis: | The presentation identifies the process involved with the design of new maintenance facilities, be it one building within a larger municipal complex, or an entire complex itself. The presentation highlights the reasons behind the needs for facilities, delineates the administrator's role in the design process, identifies the process required to program and design an efficient and functional facility, and defines the design process terms (including schematic design, design development and construction documents). Most importantly, it provides insight as to when to influence design, by realizing the relationship between savings opportunity and implementation costs. |
