Donald J. Leidy, Principal of MDG, has 30 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of maintenance facilities across the nation. His expertise encompasses programming, master planning, facility functional design, preparation of equipment requirements and specifications, and development of standards for inventory and building maintenance systems. As Principal, Don is responsible for all aspects of MDG's work. His project work includes more than 300 transit, municipal, school district and other industrial maintenance and storage facilities. He has recently worked on municipal projects for City of Golden, Colorado; City of Long Beach, California; and transit projects for Regional Transportation District (RTD), Denver, Colorado; Los Angeles Metro, Lost Angeles, California; Valley Metro, Phoenix, Arizona; Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority, Washington, D.C.; and SunTran, City of Tucson, Arizona.

Mark A. Ellis, senior project manager in MDG's Houston office, has 15 years of experience as a planner and functional design specialist providing facility design services to clients throughout Texas and nationwide. Mr. Ellis has significant experience in preparing facility master plans, facility conceptual designs, site selection studies, facility design criteria, equipment selection, specification and layout, and construction documents. He has participated in facility design on more than 140 projects, including planning and design of more than 28 transit maintenance facilities with fleets ranging from 50 to 250 standard and articulated buses, more than 35 municipal facilities for fleets of 50 to 2,800 vehicles, and several school district vehicle and building maintenance facilities throughout the United States. Mark has also participated and managed several facility planning studies and analysis efforts. His recent projects include providing programming, planning design, and equipment planning for municipal facilities in Copper Mountain, Colorado; Chula Vista, California; El Paso, Texas; Fremont, California; Josephine County and Washington County, Oregon; La Mesa, California; Lacey, Washington; Northridge, California; and San Diego, California; transit and paratransit facilities in Green Bay, Wisconsin; Long Beach, California; Montebello, California; Johnson County, Kansas; Metro Transit, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Tacoma, Washington; West Covina, California; and airport maintenance facilities in Costa Mesa, California; and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.

Chuck Belser, Manager of the Eastern Region and Senior Project Manager, operates out of the Baltimore, MD office. Belser, whose career spans three decades, has experience in project management, facility planning, operations improvements, productivity improvements, strategic master plan development, transportation simulation, and workspace layout in a wide variety of maintenance facilities. Belser’s project experience includes more than 60 projects for clients all over the country. Recent rail projects were performed in New York City; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; and Charlotte and Raleigh, NC. Transit projects have been performed in Fairfax and Alexandria, VA; Columbia, SC; Kenosha, WI; Fredericksburg, VA; and Tucson, AZ. Recent and current public works projects are being conducted in Raleigh and Charlotte, NC, Spotsylvania, VA, Suffolk, VA and Rochester, NY. Besides consulting experience, Belser’s operating and management experience includes ten years with the Soo Line Railroad and Amtrak, and led the facilities design department of a major A/E firm in Chicago, IL. He is a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and a member of the Project Management Institute.

Steve Silkworth, Senior Project Manager, operates out of MDG's Denver office. Mr. Silkworth has more than 28 years of diverse experience in architecture and planning in the private sector for both government and commercial clients. His background includes commercial architecture, design/build ventures, land-use planning, environmental laboratories, vehicle maintenance, heavy and light rail facilities, and transit buildings. His project experience includes more than 85 municipal and transit shops and vehicle maintenance facilities, which includes project management responsibilities for the award-winning Elati Light Rail Maintenance and Operations Facility for the Regional Transit District in Denver, CO; Onondaga County Jamesville Maintenance Facility in Syracuse, NY; County Fleet Management Facility and Water Quality Corporate Yards in Sacramento, CA; I-70 and North I-25 Corridor Projects in Denver, CO; Big Blue Bus Campus Expansion in Santa Monica, CA; Colorado Springs Utilities Master Planning and Final Design, Colorado Springs, CO; and Value Engineering for projects including Sound Transit (Portland, OR), MTA (Los Angeles, CA), MARTA (Atlanta, GA), CalTrain (San Francisco, CA), and New Jersey Transit.
